Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1924, Leopoldo Torres Aguero is a very influential artist whose main works were wordily acknowledged specially throughout the 1990s. An early Japanese figurative art influence blends with a strong use of color and shapes in his paintings resulting into a world of textures, shapes and colors attempting to touch most of our most sensitive senses. It's accurate to say that the artist seeks to portray a representation of the world as he seeks to understand they way representations are portrayed. Hence his works are not only aesthetic but also philosophic. The 60s are the opening gate to his geometric universe, and most representative within his works.
