In early 1900s Argentina kept on growing and expanding it's railroad system.
Back then one of the most common types of construction and capital
investment ventures was the mix type. That meant a combination of State and
private capitals. Specially common within the train and railroad companies,
for the need of technology -not developed locally- made this economic
initiative very appealing and trustworthy. In 1905 the Compañía de
ferrocarriles de la provincia de Buenos Aires - Buenos Aires province
Railway company- was transferred from local capitals to foreign ones, more
specifically French and Belgium.
